Not to mention the food, regardless Mbt Shoes UKof which restaurant, are served the dishes are the same, tastes are similar, and made mbt like a cheap mbt schuhe chain-like. Among other things, that simply can not swallow the rice is estimated to be better than the mbt schuhe rancid food. Do not think the local food like this, in fact, this is the food standards.

I expect you would have to poke holes in the wading pools, just like any other pot. Otherwise it would flood. -- Julie, Frederick put in the link for the Labyrinths. -- I would think that watering would be the biggest concern on a rooftop garden. It's constantly getting full sun. Plus, out sight, out of mind. It would be very easy to forget it's up there for a week. The biggest problem I have had intellectually about starting a garden at school is that most of the growing/harvesting/etc would happen in the summer when the kids are gone. I guess some of that could be solved by using early and late blooming varieties that are more likely to be flowering/producing in early June and September.

I have been looking for this conversation for three weeks now, and I couldn't find it. (Does anyone else ever have this problem?) Anyway, Kevin showed me some of the possible designs for Chalmette High's new space/common area. They are fantastic! I can't wait to see the finished product. It is going to be wonderful. I wish everyone would be able to see.

Took my 13 year old son to participate in the playground build. He was joined by other boy scouts. It was a great time. He kept saying how much fun he had..He did not consider it work. as parents and teachers we need to get our children and students involved in community service.

Curt..I'd like to know more of what you mean by redesigning playgrounds that they just left behind. Do you mean redesigning playgrounds left behind from elementary school?

Yes Kathleen and I was one of those people LOL. But first I had to have the yard dug up to add the new top soil. It was interesting going through each step with the landscaper. I also told the students as the project progressed. Some actually live in my neighborhood and would stop during the process to see how it was progressing. It is definitely a community effort. Prior to the storm I knew a few horticulturists that worked for the New Orleans Museum of Art and they said the job market is booming now in the metropolitan area of New Orleans. At school we are in the process of making a conversational courtyard area for our students that is landscaped. I cannot wait to see the final project that will be finished late spring. We talk about science career opportunities and I have added this to our list!!!

That sounds really great. We just started our garden and reused some building materials, painted them, and used them as borders for our vegetable gardens. It tied in nicely to Earth Day.

I too feel landscape design is overlooked - mainly in sustainability. All too often do I see businesses' landscaping being overwatered to the point it is running out into the gutter daily and regulary being treated with chemical fertilizers that get washed out by the overwatering. I think most everyone enjoys beautiful grounds, but don't understand the harm poor design or lack of conscious concerning the environment.

I agree it is wonderful to see truly student centered design based learning happen in the classroom at any level. Students are able to reason, plan, and solve problems while interacting in small groups without very little input from the teacher ...Wow!!!
