I am curious if any one has bothered to monitor this website in the last several months. As a new user, seeing the degree to which the entire site has been corrupted is considerably disconcerting. Why has no action been taken? Legitimate users of this site, please comment and express your mutual concern. Perhaps this will get the attention of someone who can fix this.

I understood this summer that CHNDM was working on the problem. It's been an issue at least since last summer when I started using the site. We were told to ignore the conversation categories because they were out of date and would soon be re-organized. It hasn't happened yet but I'm sure they're working on it. It would make so much sense to practice what is taught in the trainings and observe stake holders who use the site like teachers struggling to find what they're looking for. The conversation searches return such limited results. It seems they only search conversation titles for keywords from search terms. Why not enable search the content? Why not get rid of the categories if they aren't meant to be used?

I just commented on a lesson and noticed there was no CAPTCHA feature over there. Then I noticed the comment right below mine was spam. How about putting CAPTCHA everywhere?

Hello ERC users, As you know Cooper-Hewitt is aware of thes spam and has been adding some serucirty measures such as the captcha and e-mail verification to help stop the spam. We have found that there is a real person manually signign up for a legitimate account and adding spam. We are currently working on another measure to stop this person and should have it up this week. We apologise for this issue. Cooper-Hewitt Education Team.
