Talking about the power of stories to inspire design solutions, check out the London Transport Museum site that invites visitors to interact with a series of scenarios for the future of London's Transport systems. It may take a little time to load, but keep clicking. Where the future seems a series of worrying unknowns, using stories to project from known challenges to creative design solutions is a great classroom strategy, and this resource should be an invaluable tool to get them thinking. I like this idea because it draws a connection to language arts but can also be used to inspire ideas in other disciplines.
