New York Teachers- Hi! National Design Week is coming up in 2 weeks and we will be kicking it off with a huge Teen Design Fair! The fair is on October 15th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. It is free for all New York High School students and it will be amazing. We have a great list of designers coming, along with several Design Universities, AND Tim Gunn and some Project Runway cast members. Check it out on our website at https://www.cooperhewitt.org/NDW/teendesignfair.asp. You can register online and also see bios of all of the confirmed designers. Make sure to tell your students about it!

Last year's Teen Design Fair was fantastic! All of the kids loved every minute of it. Definitely encourage your students to come and check it out!

This sounds like a great activity! Exactly what will the Teen's be designing? It sounds like plenty of fun! I wish we could participate. Maybe in the upcoming years New Orelans can have something of this sort.

How cool! I'll bet it's an amazing experience that few participants (teens and teachers) soon forget! I look forward to seeing how things go.

Sounds like soooo much fun! I love Project Runway and I sew as well and this may be something fun to do in Atlanta at my current high school. I am so excited to read more and am heading to your link right now!

I try to mock events like this in my classroom. Seems like a great experience!
