After Lego, the module rules in design thinking. Modules can be a cool design idea to experiment with in your classroom because students love all the assembling, stacking and connecting challenges they remember from Lego, and modular thinking gives them the chance to work out abstract concepts by doing rather than punching figures on their calculators. They’re also great for spatial and geometric reasoning in Math classes. A modular design challenge that may get your students thinking: a stackable fridge for a share house: https://www.inhabitat.com/2009/07/22/flatshare-fridge-stackable-refrigerator-a-la-legos/legofridge2/ or maybe a modular system that can be adapted to a whole range of uses: https://www.designboom.com/weblog/cat/26/view/7115/makedo.html
