Just a quick questions for those who have done so already and received approval. I submitted a lesson plan last week, and am wondering how long it takes for approval, and what happens though that process. If anyone could shed some light on this subject, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I see that new conversations added do indeed end up on the last page, if not responded.

Hi Anthony, The lesson plan is looked over by the Education Department at the Cooper-Hewitt and the Communications Department before it is posted on the website. You will receive an email with any questions about your lesson plan or changes that should be made. Once the lesson plan is approved on our end, it is then posted on the website. Whenever a new lesson plan is "Published" and submitted for approval, we are notified. We look over the lesson plans in groups (based on when they are submitted) and post them in groups. Hope this clears up your questions!

Hey all, Woops! I should have checked this e-page earlier. (Hi Marie) I thought just I was the only one waiting. I didn't realize how long it would take for posting and review. It would be great to get some feedback to make sure we are on the right track.. I really could use the stipend. The lesson plan template calls for a large amount of work (much more than school requirements) A notice of time frame or approval status would help...Back to the drawing board for a re-write and another wait sounds torturous...

Hi everyone, I went to the workshop this past week on Thursday & Friday in New Orleans and this question was answered. They said it went through several checkers and then to editing too. So it might take awhile. They also have another group doing this too - so that means the 40 of us and the new group too that has to be checked. Patience is a virtue!!! :)

Oh...so wonderful. I wish I had done my final edit back in September but Nooo I waited until the very end (actually late) so I applaud all of you for your timely progress. Woe is me but -yeah -another conversation logged.

We have submitted ours as well. We were told that they might not be able to get through all of them until April. I hope if there is any problem that they will let us know before the deadline.

I submitted my lesson at the end of March, and I am still waiting for a response. I hope that I would not have to make too many changes since the time frame is coming real close to the end.

I submitted my first lesson in June of last year. Although I was told it was approved, it is still listed as waiting for approval...

Just to clear up any confusion, for 2008 CON and SDI participants, lesson plans will not be reviewed until after the due date. Please expect to hear back from a Cooper-Hewitt Education staff member within two to three weeks from this due date with any needed revisions or the final approval. Due to the high volume of lesson plans and other Education Department commitments, we are unable to review lesson plans before their original due date.
